" Ungrateful !" / ELDER ABUSE... The Sudden Pain of Betrayal

1 Samuel Chapter 8 vs. 5 speaks of the " Sudden" retirement of the Prophet Samuel as judge of israel. * No appreciation ! No retirement party ! No stipend or severance pay afforded to him for his many years of service. He had judged Israel all of his life and now he had grown old. The presence of the ELDERS of Israel showing up to his house, and demanding from him what they wanted but 1st pointing out to him his own mortality was both disrespectful and abusive.
