The Fierce Female Network Presents Mary Ann Drummond

Mary Ann Drummund, RN, is the author of "Meet Me Where I Am – An Alzheimer’s Care Guide", "I Choose to Remember", a tabletop book with short stories to entice reminiscent therapy, and "Grandma and Me, A Kid's Guide for Alzheimer's and Dementia". "Grandma and Me", co-authored with Dr. Beatrice Tauber Prior, Psy.D., is a brilliantly illustrated picture book for children age 5-9 that gently provides necessary tools to help the family navigate the journey of a loved one with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. 

"Meet Me Where I Am" is in a third printing and has won three IPPY awards including: 2015 Silver Medalist Living Now Book Award for Caregiving, 2016 1st Place Gold Medalist Beverly Hills Book Award for Caregiving, and 2015 CIPA EVVYY 1st Place Book Award for Health and Diet. 

Mary Ann is a well known speaker and dementia educator. As the CEO of Angel Tree Consulting, She has a passion for presenting innovative and successful strategies in both caregiver and provider settings to assist individuals with dementia “live their best” each day. With over thirty years of nursing experience and sixteen years as a VP in the assisted living industry developing programs for dementia care, she credits much of her expert knowledge to the greatest teachers of all, the many individuals she has cared for living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. 

When not engaged in writing or speaking at conferences and workshops, Mary Ann enjoys working with organizations across the country to increase successful outcomes in dementia care.
