Ms. Janice L. Rollins-Jones reigns from California by way of Alabama and is a former single mother who was on public assistance, experienced homelessness and abuse and is a person with a disability; yet was fortified with opportunities to become educated by obtaining her undergraduate degree in Business Organizational Management from Oakwood University, Huntsville, AL; and her Master’s in Human Resource Development from Bowie State University, Bowie, MD. She began her career teaching special education to pregnant teens and teen mothers in 1991 and remained active as a mentor in the pedagogical (youth) field for over 15 years. She has served as a youth volunteer instructor, career coach, and mentor with Junior Achievement and other nonprofit organizations. Ms. Jones moved to the andragogical (adult learning) field within the past five years and has showcased her consulting, training and facilitator skills through various opportunities. More importantly, she has consulting experience with the federal government under the Obama administration within the realm of human resources where she has served as a specialist in the assessment of resumes, job skills and drafting of position descriptions.
