Born in Jamaica, CE’JAY moved to Toronto, Canada with his family when he was young. After earning his Bachelor’s of Music from York University he moved to London, England for 2 years to pursue his passion for teaching. There he was exposed to an extremely diverse set of people and influences as he embraced the culture of European Pop and Afrobeats. He brought these sounds back with him to Toronto where he has been making music, teaching, directing, and performing with his community. He has an extensive background in Gospel from singing in church, various competitions, and collaborating with other toronto-based artists. CE’JAY’s artistry is a reflection of his life journey - his struggles and his resilience. In his music he combines the spirit of pop and Afrobeats with laid back R&B vocals and soulful vocal arrangements. His songs inspire and uplift his audience to be their highest self and keep on dancing. From the city of Cleveland to the airwaves of VH1, writer and rapper Fan'Cyee is a fearless storyteller, leveraging her innate lyricism to turn her truth to power. She has quickly established herself as a heavy-hitting writer and talented performer — someone who turns heads in the studio as well as onstage. Forever a 90s baby, Fan'Cyee’s intrinsic wordplay and storytelling stems from growing up with the sounds of Tupac, Queen Latifah, Salt n Peppa, and MC Lyte. But her real introduction to music is thanks to her younger brother, whose sessions in the garage always piqued her interest. After finally joining her brother on a writing session, Fan’Cyee was hooked — and swiftly rose to prominence over the next eight years as one of Cleveland’s most versatile and sought-after artists. What she writes is raw and real: after her brother’s incarceration in 2014, her music became an outlet for the weight of her reality.
