Joey Ama Dio is a singer-songwriter based in NYC. Growing up in a single parent household raised by her father, Joey’s childhood was not without its challenges- but being raised under the faith, strength, and leadership of her Dad is where her own Christian faith began to soar. Joey eventually went to a university for musical theater in New York City, but after some years in the acting world Joey closed the door on that chapter of her life upon being unable to reconcile her values with much of the content in theater. Before discovering her love of songwriting, Joey was a background vocalist in an indie rock band for a time and just a couple of years ago she began to write music of her own. Nowadays Joey continues to write and cultivate her music while trying to make a living, and above all else she endeavors to serve the Lord and bring Him glory in all ways and all things to the best of her ability.
