Join author Billy Jones for an interview with Mario Vazquez, artist, educator and United States Military Veteran. Mario was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, and grew up in the small town of Cidra. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Army National Guard and moved to the United States. Mario also worked as a postal worker for the U.S. Postal Service in Stratford, Connecticut. Mario inherited the talents and career interests of his parents...his father is an electronics technician and photographer, and his mother is a nurse and teacher. From winning Teacher of the Year to serving as a Student Success Specialist and College Professor, Mario epitomizes dedication and servitude to self, the community and the nation.
