Welcome back to The Words On Flicks Show! We’ve taken a break for the summer, but we’re back with the movie talk from a fan perspective that I hope you’ve come to enjoy.

For the September episode, frequent guest Michael A. Gonzales and host Janine Coveney reminisce about the NYC Subway trains and their role in numerous films over the years, tying into Michael’s most recent CrimeReads.com article "'The Incident' and Other New York City Subway Stories." The conversation will fan out to other silver screen train tales. Come with us for the ride on the Iron Horse!

Harlem native Michael A. Gonzales is a cultural critic, short story scribe and essayist who has written for The Paris Review, The Village Voice, Wax Poetics, The Wire UK, Maggot Brain and Pitchfork. His fiction has appeared in Under the Thumb: Stories of Police Oppression edited by S.A. Cosby, Taint Taint Taint, Dead-End Jobs: A Hit Man Anthology edited by Andrew J.
