Marissa is an entertainment and intellectual property attorney who focuses on copyright and trademark brand protection for content creators in the film, television, literary, fashion, and music industries. 

In the entertainment industry, Marissa has been involved in deals for television shows on major networks such as NBC, VH1, Bravo, and WE tv, including such shows as Love and Hip-Hop and the Real Housewives franchises, and has negotiated development deals for scripted and unscripted television shows and films. She has negotiated brand sponsorships and IP licensing deals on behalf of  writers, new media adult and kid influencers, and has successfully drafted and negotiated film deals for directors, writers, actors, and production companies as production legal counsel on films that have been premiered at Tribeca and Sundance.  

In the world of music, she has negotiated recording contracts, featured side artist agreements, and has strategically advised on publishing and general copyright matters on behalf of Grammy-Award winning recording artists and songwriters. She is also skilled in negotiating music synchronization deals on behalf of independent songwriters and for film production companies.
