Jay Lamont is originally from Oklahoma City. Okla. Jay went on to say say "I'm a graduate of Langston University with a B.A. Degree in Broadcast Journalism. I started out working as a radio personality for radio stations in Oklahoma City and Houston, Texas. After relocating to Houston, I began to embark on a career in the comedy business as well as a singer. I have opened for such artists as The Gap Band, The O'Jays and the late Roger Troutman. During the time in Houston, I was invited to perform at a local comedy club where I met various individuals who would help in broadening my career. I had the chance to appear on the first season of BET's Comicview and later, I appeared on Showtime At The Apollo, Russell Simmon's Def Comedy Jam and Jamie Foxx presents Laffapalooza.

After that time, I've had the pleasure of opening for such acts such as the late great Luther Vandross, MAZE featuring Frankie Beverly, D.L. Hughley, Steve Harvey, Tommy Davidson, Cedric The Entertainer, Mike Epps and Jamie Foxx. I also am a member of two R&B groups in which I'm a lead vocalist. We have toured all around the country and also, I'm involved in an accepella group out of Oakland, Ca. I presently now live in LA and plan to do more in this business and make alot of things happen in the future. Peace and love."See Jay Live online at:

Jay Lamont a.k.a. “JAMMIN JAY LAMONT” entertainer extraordinaire is a native of Oklahoma City, OK and a broadcast journalism graduate from Langston University.

Stand-up comedy is just too confining a term for what he delivers to an audience. An impressionist & vocalist, he mixes a blend of comedy and music that has crowds across the country begging for more.
