JUANITA WYNN BIO
At the young age of 5, in her father’s church is where “GRAMMY AWARD WINNING” song
writer Juanita Wynn began singing with her five older siblings, “The Wynn Sisters”. There she
learned the art of harmonizing. At 18 yrs old she began writing her own songs, ultimately,
attracting the interest of music’s icon, Quincy Jones, signing her first 2-year publishing deal. She
later signed on with Sony ATV Music Publishing for 4 years.
Juanita has written for the incomparable ‘Diana Ross’. She has also written for artists such as:
Gospel Artist Fred Hammond, and the R&B songstress Angie Stone, the most popular, multiplatinum selling female R&B group Destiny’s Child, Ben Tankard, Jazz musician Norman Brown,
Shirley Murdock, and her most recent artist Lalah Hathaway, just to name a few. Her list of
amazing talents is unremitting. Juanita also prides herself as a notable motivational speaker for
women and children. September 2015 Juanita Wynn was asked to be the keynote speaker at
Fordham University, elaborating on the exploitation of women in the music industry.
Juanita’s journey has been in much anticipation of introducing to the world her interpretations of
love, joy, peace and encouragement through her new CD entitled "This Thing Called Life".
Introducing these new compositions at several events for battered, or homeless women and
children, and also the Coronado School for pregnant teens, in Virginia Beach. Juanita loves
music, but she loves music with a purpose even more so she's inspired to reach people from
every generation, culture, and color.
