"In the Word with Sister Pearl: 3 Things you Don't Want to Be"

Tonight's program is In The Word with Sister Pearl, your host is Sister Pearl Corbin. Her message for tonight is "3 Things you Don't Want to Be."

" For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers and sisters, that our ancestors were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea. 2 They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. 3 They all ate the same spiritual food 4 and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ. 5 Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered in the wilderness. - 1 Corinthians 10:1-5
As followers of Jesus, there are so many things we want to be, for example: we want to be loving, kind, compassionate, courageous, faithful, committed, loyal, thoughtful, intentional, etc, etc. However, I believe we also need to examine some things that we, absolutely, do NOT want to be, as people who confess and profess, Christ as Lord.  There are several attributes that are not beneficial for a believing child of God to possess. However, this Sunday, we are going to mainly look at '3 Things you Don't Want to Be!"
