Tonight we'll begin with a synopsis of the issue of contraception for all adults.  I will review recent events as covered in local Kansas news where many political and religious forces in the state seek to not only outlaw it, but punish those who provide and encourage the use of birth control, including abortion.

The Kansas Health Institute issued the result in it's study of children in high-poverty areas of the state.  The number of children have tripled since 2000. Read it here.

To deepen that, I will play a back and forth debate that aired on Democracy Now, Feb. 8, 2012 surrounding the Obama administration attempting to provide employees of religious institutions and hospitals with free birth control contraceptives and family planning services.  This re-broadcast runs around 50 minutes.
