Rashid Khalidi, Columbia University's Edward Said Professor of Modern Arab Studies, shares the anti-Western, anti-Israel, Islam-apologist views of his late Columbia namesake and predecessor. Khalidi has released a new book, The Hundred Years' War on Palestine: A History of Settler Colonialism and Resistance, 1917–2017, in which he defames the Zionist movement and its subsequent Israeli state as a "settler-colonial" movement that has deprived an indigenous "Palestinian" people of their homeland. He recently held a February 10 book presentation at Washington, DC's Politics and Prose bookstore before a largely sympathetic standing-room-only audience of over 120 people. Show host Andrew E. Harrod will review Khalidi's remarks from the evening and examine how he slyly distorts history in order to pillory Israel.
