Author Dan LeRoy has published a new book, Liberty’s Lions: The Catholic Revolutionaries Who Established America, which examines the role of Catholics in winning American independence in the Revolution. LeRoy brings to life fascinating biographies about individuals like Charles Carroll, the only Catholic signer of the Declaration of Independence, and John Barry, sometimes credited as the "Father of the American Navy," as well as the Revolution's foregin allies like the Poles Thaddeus Koscuiszko and Casimir Pulaski. LeRoy will join show host Andrew E. Harrod to discuss issues like the state of Catholicism in colonial America and how these Catholic revolutionaries shaped the United States' founding.
