Salvation in Islam - The Cross and the Crescent Discussion Group

Guest host Chris Claus will be leading a discussion on the CCDG comparing and contrasting the Blessed Assurance we find in Christianity to the idea of Salvation according to the Quran. 

As Christians we are told that what Christ did for us on that Cross in first century Jerusalem guaranteed our salvation by paying that price necessary for the atonement of our sins.

The Quran, Allah, Gabriel, or Muhammad (take your pick) describes a very different method of attaining eternal salvation.  What must Muslims do in order to be saved from the fire that “awaits us all”? 

The differences are just as startling as they are antithetical to one another.
