The Crucifixion and Resurrection of Christ.  The Cross and the Crescent Discussion Group.

The dividing line between Christianity and Islam is the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.  As a Christian we can take not only the comfort for our eternal salvation in what Jesus did for us on the cross, but also how historically reliable the Crucifixion and Resurrection are.  After celebrating this event this past weekend we are going to drill down as to why we are able to celebrate this event with confidence. 

We are also compare this to the Islamic position on the crucifixion and it’s a-historical characteristics.  If one’s faith is predicated on a known historical falsehood, what confidence do they have in the Quran?  And why?
