Alexandre Goodarzy, a worker with the French Christian aid association SOS Chrétiens d’Orient, endured over two months as a hostage of a Shiite militia in Iraq in 2020. In a new book by Sophia Institute Press, Kidnapped in Iraq: A Christian Humanitarian Tells His Story, he describes his ordeal as well as his experiences in the previous years bringing aid to Christians amidst Syria's civil war after 2011 as well as to Pakistani Christians. Goodarzy will discuss with show host Andrew E. Harrod the many historic challenges of Christian communities trying to survive in often hostile Muslim lands, among other matters.
