Andrew Comiskey, a leader in the ex-gay movement who helps individuals exit homosexuality and lead more wholesome, satisfying lives, has an upcoming book with Sophia Institute Press, Rediscovering Our Lost Fullness: A Guide to Sexual Integration. Based on his own personal experiences and over 40 years work at Desert Stream Ministries, which he founded in 1980 to heal sexual brokenness, Comiskey analyzes how homosexuality results when life traumas malform personalities. By contrast, individuals show true character integration when they live chaste lives according to the God-given design of human sexuality, as individuals either called to states of celibacy or to holy matrimony. Comiskey will discuss with show host Andrew E. Harrod issues such as whether same-sex attraction is innate ("born that way"), how people like him have fundamentally changed their sense of themselves, and the state of homosexuality in the Catholic Church, among other matters.
