Each February, National Black History Month serves as both a celebration and a powerful reminder that Black history is American history, Black culture is American culture, and Black stories are essential to the ongoing story of America — our faults, our struggles, our progress, and our aspirations. Tonight I talk with Mrs. Doris Battle speaker, lifelong historian. She is the  administrator of the  face-book page North Carolina Forgotten History

North Carolina has layers of rich history, much of it lost, hidden or forgotten. The NC Forgotten History Committee seeks to find and share forgotten local history, while recognizing important historical sites and uncovering unsung heroes from the past.
