Paul and the Gentiles
Romans 11: 11-24
Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious.
In writing to both Jews and Gentiles who were Christians in Rome, Paul
now wanted the Gentile Christians to pay special attention to what he
wrote. Because of the Jews rejection of Paul and the gospel, he turned to
the Gentiles and was approved as the apostle to the Gentiles; whereas, Peter
was known as the apostle to the Jews. Paul did not consider himself
demoted to a lesser place or promoted above others, but he thankfully,
happily, and graciously embraced his honorable call to serve the Gentiles
and lead many to faith in Christ.
