This Monday Graphic Policy Radio welcomes guests Collin Kelly, Marcus To, and Jackson Lanzing to discuss their creator-owned series Joyride!

In the future, Earth sucks. The stars have been blocked out for so long that people have forgotten there was anything else besides the dumb World Government Alliance watching over them, training children to join the militarized Allied Youth and eliminating all resistance with a giant ray gun. Uma Akkolyte is a girl who shoots first and leaps before she looks, and when she gets a strange message from outside the barricades of SafeSky, she jacks a spaceship and punches through the stratosphere with an unlikely crew of teens who are totally not ready for what they’re about to find.

Jackson Lanzing & Collin Kelly are writers with a decade of experience in a variety of mediums, from features to animation to comic books. As comics creators, Lanzing/Kelly have written for DC Entertainment, BOOM! Studios, and IDW - including Batman & Robin Eternal, Grayson, and Hacktivist. This year, they released their first creator-owned comic at BOOM! Studios, the critically-acclaimed ongoing teenage space adventure Joyride - which is now in its fifth issue.

Marcus To is a New York Times bestselling illustrator and storyteller who lives in Toronto, Canada. Throughout his career Marcus has drawn virtually every DC superhero, having worked on Red Robin, Huntress, Batwing, Flash, and Wonder Woman.
