Debt to Sin: Paid in Full

As believers in Christ, we owe our lives to Him. He died for the sins of the world. In Christ, we are free indeed. This Lenten season reminds us of our need for redemption. Jesus Christ atoned for our sins, reconciled us to God the Father, and clothed us in His righteousness. We are in a restored relationship with God after being separated from Him because of our sins. 

II Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV) says, "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."  The redemptive work of Jesus Christ (true God and true Man) has freed us from the penalty of sin.
