Nabate : Grammy award winning trumpet player on the DrCal Hour Of Insight
Special guest Nabate Isles, will be on an interview with talk show host DrCal. This will be the first time
Nabate Isles will be on the show. The 2018 Grammys honored this great musician for his innovative
approach to his playing. The debut release is called “Eclectic Excursions”. This debut gathers many
musicians and friends, he has worked with over the years as he developed his own compositions and
production style. This effort deals with many genres of hip hop, classic jazz, pop which he has learned to
flow in naturally and this is what true creativity is about. When you can be yourself and not be boxed in
tradition you can have new and exciting collaborations. Nabate, is bold and not afraid to push his
playing to the limit.
Over the years I have interviewed great jazz and fusion legends like Billy Cobham, Pat Martino, George
Duke, and Nabate, has his work cut out for him in that regard and I believe this debut is a statement of
