Community Education Council - Alief Townhall Meeting

This open forum will allow the local Alief community to discuss education issues in the Alief ISD. Two very public concerns now face this community. The first, is related to the questionable selection of the Stafford MSD superintendent candidate after taking a special vote to exclude 4-5 state certified, doctoral graduate, minority candidates on the Alief employment roles. The selected candidate holds no PhD, has limited experience as a superintendent, and his current district has less students than one high school in Alief. The second issue open for discussion is the Fox News story on the lawsuit that was filed against an Alief family, costing the district a reported unrecoverable, $250,000. The agenda will cover the first topic at 7:00 pm and the second will begin between 7:30-8:00 depending on the number of participants that call the show.
