"Voices" A Choral Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Voices. REFLECTION ON AN AMERICAN ICON THROUGH WORDS AND SONGS
You always need music. You need The Negro Spirituals. I think music lifts our spirits and informus. and that's the jod of music. And if you go back to the enslaved Africans: If they hadn't had a song, how would they have remain sane? They created this body of work that has become the voice of America. From the spirituals, we flow into gospel, jazz. blues.... that's how you pass the dtory along.
