High School Basketball: J. F. Shields State Champion Coach Marion McIntosh 1994 also serve as The Girls basketball coach 2011-12.

Three starters are back — Japlessa Primm, Mariah Jones and Tykeria Rodgers — for new coach Marion McIntosh, who is also the school’s principal and led the school’s boys team to a state title in 1994. Herber Blackmon, the Panthers' longtime girls coach who built the program into one of the state's elite, retired 2010 last spring.
