How does self rule work in this day and time. Anarchy is defined as "A state of disorder due to the absence or nonrecognition of authority". That difinition implies that chaos would be prevelent or necessary. In the words of anarchist L. Susan Brown "While the popular understanding of anarchism, is of a violent, anti-state movement, anarchism is much more subtle and nuanced tradition than simple opposition to authority. Anarchism and anarchy are undoubtable the most misrepresented ideas in political theory.
