She leads NIC’s Women Offender team initiative focusing on development and support of gender-responsive policy, procedure and practice within criminal justice. Alfreda Robinson learned advocacy while serving a 10 year Federal sentence. She founded the National Women’s Prison Project in 2002. She was voted Baltimore’s Best Advocate in 2005. Her major goal is to “snatch the women out of the lion’s den” and show them a more excellent way.
