Kae Sun or Kwaku Darko-Mensah Jr. is a Ghanaian-Canadian singer-songwriter. Kae Sun's music has hints of soul, folk and hip-hop creating a sound that is sometimes described as urban folk.

Kae Sun's debut album Lion On A Leash came out in 2009.The mostly self produced Lion on a Leash is a collection of heartfelt, well written songs that successfully combine elements of hip-hop, roots reggae and soul. He also adds elements of afro-funk, influenced by his Ghanaian upbringing.

Kae Sun turned to his native Ghana for inspiration for his EP Outside the Barcode which came out in 2011. Outside the Barcode, is an authentic and reflective collection of songs that showcase Kae’s growth as a songwriter, storyteller and guitarist. 

Kae Sun's newest album Afriyie, comes out May 28th.It incorporates influences like Sam Cooke, Lauryn Hill, Dennis Brown, Ben Harper, Bob Marley and Bob Dylan.
