Millennials ask - How to I get Started with Investing in Companies that are Crowd Funding their opportunities.  Karen answers.

Billions of dollars are being invested in companies raising capital directly from the public in legal equity based 'crowdfunding' methods -- Still far under the total capital raised from angels and VCs... but by the nature of the investor recruitment, there are many more small investors doing this kind of investing than traditional angel investment because of 4 reasons:

1.  location
2.  Time
3.  exclusivity
4.  accredited status.

Yet, those investor are the least informed about budgeting for investments and conducting due diligence to validate the investment opportunity.
The goal of this podcast it to provide the guiderails for getting started as an investor with companies raising capital under the guidelines offered by the SEC for Direct Public Offerings.
As with anything new, you need to learn about it first.
This podcast is a first step.
