Salar Ahmed Khan, MD, MBA, FACA, FCCP, DTCD, MCPS, served as an attending physician, pulmonologist and psychiatrist in Karachi, Pakistan, from 1985 to 1987; as chief of medicine, interim director of medical services, and interim hospital director at Al-Midhnab General Hospital under the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia from 1988 to 1993; as an associate professor of medicine at Baqai Medical College and Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan, from 1993 to 1994; as a surgical assistant, materials manager, and interim central processing supervisor at Edgewater Medical Center in Chicago from 1996 to 2000. From 2000 to 2009, he was a research administration portfolio manager, merit grant administrator, interim administrative officer, and interim director of a nonprofit organization, and since 2009 he has been working as the director of research compliance in Chicago. He has been nominated for and has won several awards at national and international levels. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, photography, and watching sports such as cricket.
