Veterans Issues: James W. McCloud & Providence Veterans Farm

The son of a Navy & Air Force retired E8 with 35 years of service, he was born in Bangor, Maine.  Graduated magna cum laude from Liberty University 1989 with a Bachelor of Radio Television Communications with a minor in Business. LCDR McLeod was commissioned on October 2001, through the Navy’s Direct Commission Officer program. October 2016, LCDR McLeod  reported to NR U.S. Fleet Forces Public Affairs. He previously filled the first PAO position with SEAL Team 18 establishing a new department. McLeod has produced multiple videos for Navy promotion and NATO Command.
 
McLeod owns and operates WBGR TV, since 1995, currently the ME TV affiliate in Bangor, Maine. Along with WBGR, McLeod founded in 2014 & is the CEO & President of ?Providence Veterans Farm a privately funded haven dedicated to the treatment of Military Members, Veterans and their families suffering with PTSD in the holistic and natural setting of a farm. Providence Veterans Farm is committed to improving the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of this remarkable community of heroes, and ensuring they have the opportunity to succeed in their new mission - a life of passion, purpose and service - here at home.  
 
McLeod currently resides in Concord, Virginia with his wife of almost 29 years, Bethshan; and their children Micah (waiting to go to Navy Bootcamp ), Mark (Sophomore in Business at LU), Malachi, Michael, Moriah and Marissa who are all homeschooled. He also has two married children - Merrianne (Graduate student at LU) married to Second LT(sel) Micah Nissly, and Matthew (Sophomore in Computer Engineering at LU) married to Amber, who works at Liberty. . The farm has 46 chicken, 24 muscovy ducks, 4 turkey, 3 sheep, 10 goats, 2 dogs, 1 cat and 5 beehives.
