VETERANS’ AFFAIRS HISTORY:

1956-1963 – member, Army National Guard

2001 – as a driver for Hunter Motor Coach (a military transporter,) began transporting troops to bases in the Eastern US following 9/11

2010 – as a National Vice President for Family Motor Coach Association, formed the Northeast Area Veterans’ Outreach Program to aid veterans in locating services and securing transportation

2012 – founded Mountains to Miracles Veterans’ Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization to replace the above group

Mountains to Miracles currently networks with many other organizations to provide needed services to veterans suffering from PTSD and TBI. Such services include helping to secure needed transportation, financial assistance, housing, and VA counseling and treatment. In addition, MTM’s partner organization, “Woofs for Warriors,” provides companion dogs for veterans with PTSD and/or TBI, by rescuing and matching shelter dogs in need of homes with veterans in need of the loving and stabilizing influence of a companion dog. Mountains to Miracles and Woofs for Warriors provide and cover the cost of obedience training for each veteran and his/her dog.

COMMUNITY SERVICE HISTORY:

1957-1960 – member, Ballston Spa Fire Department; manager and drummer for Fire Department Band.

1977-1980 – member, Ballston Spa Central School Board of Education; member, Budget Committee, and Chairman, Long Range Planning and Facilities Committee.

1978-1984 -- EMT and crew captain, Malta Ambulance Corps.
