15 Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked, 2 “Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don’t wash their hands before they eat!”
Many things we do in life are because of traditions and man made laws. As little kids we made up the 3 second rule, if you drop a piece of food. We would kiss it and give it to God, as we ate what many would say is dirty food. As children we didn't always wash our hands before we ate when our parents were not around. As adults we would never think to eat off the floor or not wash our hands. Did we have more faith as children in our knowledge that God would protect us? Jesus, called it when he said:
Luke 18:15-17
[ The Little Children and Jesus ] People were also bringing babies to Jesus for him to place his hands on them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”
Today, have the faith of a child that God has your back through Jesus.
