Your testimonies are very sure; Holiness adorns Your house, O Lord, forever. A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. But You, Lord, are on high forevermore. Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, The days of our lives are seventy years; And if by reason of strength they are eighty years, Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away. The Lord knows the thoughts of man, That they are futile. So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom. “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. To declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.” And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, And establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands.
