Today, we continue our discussion about “Life after Jim Crow” where we focus on the 1970s and 1980s which were the first generation of integration as well as the first generation to fully benefit from the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Acts and the effect Supreme Court cases like Brown v. Board of Education.  Today, I talk about how a historical figure, like John Brown, can be taught from two different perspectives.
