NABWIC Talks with Tampa's Machelle Maner, MEDWeek Champion and Sponsor

Machelle Maner is currently Vice President, Community Development for Wells Fargo.  As Sr. Community Development Officer, she covers Southwest Florida (a ten County Region).  Wells Fargo’s Community Development Group and Machelle are focused on the strategic development of public/private partnerships, the identification of programs available to expand lending opportunities for affordable housing and small businesses and identifying community and economic development opportunities.    With more than 25 years in the financial services industry, she has held positions in both the Consumer, Commercial, Marketing and Commercial Banking divisions and was promoted to Vice President in 1996.  

Machelle has served on several project teams within Wells Fargo and in the Community.  Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors of several Nonprofit organizations including the Black Business Initiative Fund, Tampa Bay Community Development Corporation, Minority Enterprise Development Corporation and Computer Mentors.  She is a graduate of Leadership Tampa (1995) and Leadership Tampa Bay (1998) and has served as both past president and chair in the organizations.   Machelle is a Past President of the Board of the Tampa Club and was the first African American woman to serve in that role

Originally from Savannah, Georgia, Machelle Maner is a graduate of Savannah State University where she majored in Marketing and Management.   She has had numerous speaking engagements and fulfills her passion of serving in the community and encouraging families and individuals.
