Dr. Patty openly embraces diversity and fosters and understanding of different traditions, cultures and religions. She and her husband Luke have been adopted by the Little Elk and Whitelance families of the Rose Bud Reservation in South Dakota. Patty had the honor of dancing her 20th year as a sun dancer with her Lakota family and friends.
