Last week, we discussed how environmental attorney Steven Donziger fought Chevron in a lawsuit that demanded damages paid to the indigenous peoples of the area. Donziger fought for almost three decades and eventually won the lawsuit, but Chevron would not accept responsiblity. Chevron's attorneys then went after Donziger, knowing that these indigenous natives had no money or power to pursue this case without a top attorney. Donziger was disbarred on bogus charges and may face some jail time. Meanwhile, the area where these people live remains an environmental nightmare.

Tonight, we will discuss the damage done to these people, first by Texaco--and then Chevron after they purchased Texaco and their liabilities. This is the Chernobyl of the Amazon.
