Kent State Head Coach Darrell Hazell enters his second season as the man in charge to turn around the Golden Flashes football program. The Golden Flashes haven’t had a winning season since 2001 but led by Hazell in 2011 the team won four out of the last five games to finish 5-7, the third consecutive season.
Hazell’s five victories in 2011 are tied for second most in school history by a first-year coach at Kent State. With the season opening on August 30th with the home opener versus Towson, Kent State will rely on the defense that is the foundation of the team and hope that the 114th in scoring and 119th ranked offense comes around to give the team that added spark.
Thursday (Aug. 9), Coach Hazell will be on the College2Pro.com show to discuss the upcoming season. Listen in at
