In 2013, Darian Yahyavi appeared in all of the Murray States games, making 12 starts, and finished the season with 45 tackles, 33 solo. Last year against Florida State Yahyavi recorded season-high eight tackles and recovered a fumble. Prior to Murray State, Yahyavi played his sophomore season for head coach Mark McElroy at Saddleback Community College and earned Second-Team All-National Southern honors after posting 58 tackles, 42 solo, three tackles-for-loss, three interceptions, 10 pass break-ups and two fumble recoveries. He played at Arizona Western College as a freshman and registered 22 tackles.
