Caldwell aims to be selected in the NFL Supplemental Draft held in July. He played in all 15 games for the Wolves as he helped lead the league's best defense to an appearance in the NCAA Semifinals. Tied for third on the team with 69 tackles, including a team-best 18.5 tackles for loss. Led the team and GSC in sacks with 12 and his best individual performance came against third-ranked North Alabama with 9 tackles and 2.5 sacks, earning GSC Player of the Week Honors. He ended the season being named First Team All-Gulf South Conference and Second-Team All Super Region 2 by Daktronics.
Caldwell (6-foot-6, 245 pounds) led the Gulf South Conference in sacks with 12, and recorded 18.5 tackles for loss last season for the Wolves. Caldwell's college career took him to three schools, beginning with Illinois, before he transferred to Pearl River Community College.
The supplemental draft, held in July, allows teams to pick a player who was not available in the regular draft at the expense of a corresponding pick the following year.
