Many, perhaps most people use many different criteria when deciding to do or not to do something. This seems to be partiularly true in the church. One of the two main criteria that must guide our choices is whether or not that which is being spoken is "In the Scriptures." The principle meaning of discussion must be validated by what God has spoken. The second criteria is whether or not the believer is going to Believe and Receive. Sounds wierd, I know; but many people seem to think that they cannot or will not believe and receive something spoken if they have never experienced it or they do not understand it. Surrendering one's life to Christ and yet not believing or receiving principles, guidance, certain Scriptures, stories, interpretations, and most things not experienced is totaly contrary, to that surrendered life. Understanding and experience is, in most instances, follows believing and receiving. That's biblical faith!
