If we play the game of life properly, we will begin our livers living in DEPENDENCE. A few, short years later, we move to INDEPENDENCE ... too soon for Mom, and not soon enough for most of us. The third "traumatic" stage is called "INTERDEPENDENCE" ,,, that glorious stage of living that we fight moving into as long as we can!!! E.M. Bounds is quoted as saying, "All God's plans have the mark of the cross on them, and all His plans have death to self in them." Who, in his right mind then wants to die to much of anything these days? But some "funny" and yet "miraculous" things happen when we come to Christ, giving and yielding part after part after part of our lives to Him from the day that we receive Him to the day that we shed our earth suit and move into the here-after. Not a bad trip for those who are aware of God's design for our lives. Horrifying for those who deny the transformation from the self-life to living God's life in us. The answer always comes to pivoting away from any and all of the world's controlling interests in our lives and moving into the Spirit-filled life given by God at our point of salvation. If there's pain involved in the process, it's always the result of believe we can't live without the world's systems and the ignorance of what "Living the Disciple's Life" entailes. This can be fixed!
