She has been fortunately to have been blessed to host annually a retreat called Warm your Heart, Warm Your Mind and Warm Your Soul Women’s Retreat that currently is in the 12th year.

She has received numerous community awards for her humanitarian efforts. In 2016 she was the first African American female to open a wellness center in Talbot County, MD. She resides in Caroline County, MD with her husband Elvis along with two children and three grandchildren.
