"Limited representation fuels internalized homophobia" asserts producer, writer, actor James Patrick Nelson. "How do queer people learn to cherish the remarkable nuances of our identities if we rarely see nuanced, authentic portraits of ourselves on screen?"

As an award winning film maker, James has set a creative target for himself and others in the industry regarding LGBTQ characters: they need to be "richly complex, multi-faceted human beings, with endlessly diverse and distinct experiences, and we deserve to be seen, for all that we are."
