He touches on some powerful topics and harsh realities that many in the mainstream industry won't discuss. His socially conscious work and creative films brought him to create a platform that would allow independent filmmakers to have the ability to be recognized for the contributions they have made to the entertainment industry. The Independent Film Association of Philadelphia, under the guidance of Floyd Marshall, continues to highlight independent films, producers, writers and directors while bringing the independent movement to a whole new level.
