The Roman Catholic Church is the largest religious organization in the world, with over 1.4 billion adherents to its doctrines and teachings. They claim to be the church that Jesus started, and that the humble fisherman the apostle Peter is their first pope. But if that's true, then why are they called 'catholics', a word that appear nowhere in the Bible. And why are they from Rome, didn't the apostles begin in Jerusalem and then spread to Greece? And wasn't Rome the swoen enemy of the band of Jewish believers that would come to be called Christians? Hmm...excellent questions.

On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we will be looking at the complete history of the Roman Catholic Church, its leaders, and its curious doctrines and teachings. We will watch as the politicans of pagan Rome embark on a murderous multi-century campaign to wipe out Christianity, then when failing to do so, executes a hostile corporate takeover of it in the early 300's AD. If you can't beat them, join them, as they old adage goes. But they didn't join them, they swallowed the early church whole and it would not be seen again until the Protestant Reformantion.
