We continue to read about and hear the startling statistics associated with marriage and marriage failure. Some even suggest we are failing as a nation simply because we are failing in our marriages. Black women marry outside the race more than any other racial group. Is this tied to treatmment during slavery? Is this due to some unspoken resentment passed from one generation to another by mothers and grandmothers from mothers and grandmothers?
Are Black men out marrying due to the same unwritten desire to get back at the white man for what happened to Black women in this country? Is it possible that Black women and Black Men are motivated by the same fact yet the chosen strategy may not be best for both?
Listen as we hear some perspectives on (1) any difference if you marry Black or White, (2) what are the prospects for Black women who remain true to the racial cause and (3) what are the reasons for divorce outside adultery.
