Continuing with our topic, the Person and the Personality of the Holy Spirit, in today's message we shall learn why do believers need the Holy Spirit?

In the previous message, I mentioned that the Holy Spirit is NOT an "It," He is NOT a "Force," He is NOT an "Influence," He is NOT a "Power," He Is God,  (Acts 5:3-4)! And, we learned that the Bible clearly addresses the Holy Spirit with the personal Pronoun such as "He," Him," "His," and so on. I also mentioned that as God the Father is Eternal, Omniscient, Omnipotent, and Omnipresent, so is the Holy Spirit!

Today, we shall learn why do believers need the Holy Spirit!

1- When a person receives Christ and become a believer, the Holy Spirit convince him/her of his presence and his relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:14-17; 1 John 3:24; 1 John 5:6-13)

2- Even before a person receives Christ, the Holy Spirit is the One Who convinces him/her that they need Christ ( Titus 3:5-7; John 3:1-8; 1 Peter 1:2, 22-25).

3- When a person comes to the saving knowledge of Christ, the Holy Spirit helps him to have a change of attitude toward his surroundings (Ephesians 5:18-21).

4- When we become a believer in the Lord Jesus, the Holy Spirit helps us to control our desires ( Galatians 5:16-23)

5- When we become a believer, there is a transformation,, the Holy Spirit helps us to become Christlike in all we think, Say, or Do (Romans 12:1-2; 2 Cor. 3:18)

6- When we become a believer, the Holy Spirit helps us in our trials (Romans 8:26-27).

7- When we become a believer, the Holy Spirit helps us and guide us to be committed to the Lord's Will (Acts 16:6-7).
